Having an article marketing strategy is paramount if you want to have explosive growth with your mlm or direct sales business. Every site has it’s own set of rules and guidelines that you must adhere to so more of your articles are published. Nobody really has the time to check each site for these so called rules. Here is a basic check list that will give you the most exposure over time.
Article Marketing Strategy Do’s:
1. Make sure you submit articles on a regular basis. Search engines love fresh content.
2. Make sure you capitalize the first letter of every word in the subject line.
3. Make sure you’re checking spelling and grammar.
4. Make sure your paragraphs are formatted correctly.
5. Make sure your articles are between 400-800 characters in length.
6. Make sure your writing a resource box that is giving reader a “next step”.
7. Make sure your using HTML tags (if allowed) Google HTML to see how it’s done.
8. Make sure your articles are original and somewhat informative.
9. Make sure your consistent over a 90 day period. This takes time to work.
Article Marketing Strategy Don’ts
1. Don’t use more than five tags per articled.
2. Don’t copy other peoples content and post it. Use there ideas but create original content.
3. Don’t put any links in the “body” of your article. Most directories won’t allow this anyhow.
4. Don’t cloak links. Put a little elbow grease and build your own back links.
5. Don’t use more than 2 links in your resource box. Most directories will reject you for this.
Putting together an article marketing strategy blueprint:
Now that we have been over a couple do’s and don’ts here are some other things you want to consider when putting together your article marketing strategy. For G’s sake get a real domain. Your results will be increased dramatically. If your using blogspot, angelfire, or any other free sites it’s time you step up and make some changes. If your using a blog use wordpress. Register your domain with godaddy for $10 per year and get it hosted through them for about $5 per year. If your serious it’s time you did this.
After you get your wordpress blog set up and ready to go use software to get your articles out there. There are free and paid services. You can submit your articles to thousands of directories at the push of a button. Some article sites will not accept your article if they detect auto submissions, however, they are in the minority.
When your software is finished “working” visit your articles especially when you first get started. Go and look at your articles. Make sure they look ok and that your resource box is set up correctly. It would be pointless if your links were not working or the article itself not being posted.
Also make sure you check your email inbox afterward. Some articles will not be submitted if you don’t confirm there here.
Checking site guidelines also a good idea. Your articles can actually get rejected if you use certain words. Some sites don’t accept gambling, sexual content, certain products/services, etc. Some will even decline if your just using a certain word in a sentence.
Don’t get frustrated when you finally put together your article marketing strategy and things don’t start popping right away. It takes lots of time and patience. Many site owners will takes days sometimes weeks to approve articles. After this happens it takes more time for articles to get indexed in search engines. Just keep plugging away and it will pay off in the long run.
If your serious about article marketing don’t spew out junk. It’s much better to write 2-3 good articles per week then just cranking out junk on a daily basis.
Lastly, your resource box should be a continuation of your article. Tell the reader a bit about why your an expert in the field and why they should click your link. It’s also a good idea to use pen names so your being read in the third person.
